Our Scandinavian redwood fencing battens are extremely popular and we hold a range of sizes in stock. You may have seen them on our social media channels.
If you decide to order through our online shop we are only able to offer delivery within a 50 mile radius of our yard. If you are outside of this area please contact the office and we will be a happy to offer a quotation to include delivery.
We can get many sizes of planed timber in on request so if you can’t see it just ask. We are friendly and helpful so don’t be shy

Redwood Tongue And Groove Pressure Treated
Our softwood redwood Tongue and grove is the perfect choice for shed building, outdoor garden rooms and exterior cladding. Pressure treated for a longer life ( UC3). Untreated available.

Yellow cedar
is seriously underrated and its cousin western red cedar is often the one that steals the spot light. Yellow cedar is tougher, cheaper and has cleaner faces than its popular rival.

Iroko Tongue & Groove Cladding

Planed Western Red Cedar
A durable option for outdoor building projects because of its natural resistance to rot, decay, and insects. Since this timber is a unique mixture of reds, dark browns, and light tans, it ages beautifully, often greying into a silver-ish hue after prolonged exposure to sunlight. Very popular for contemporary fencing projects which is why we also offer a western red cedar fencing batten.
Straight grain with a coarse texture and moderate natural lustre.
Grading 85% will be grade 2 or better with 15% being grade 4 (some natural knots present)

European Oak Cladding
An absolute classic cladding full of character which weathered to a wonderful range of silver greys.
Milled to order with a lead time of approx 12 working days.

Thermo Ayous Cladding
Thermo Ayous is a very popular alternative to Western Red Cedar.
A West African hardwood it has a durability class rating of 1-2. A life expectancy outside of 30 plus years and longer with some additional care.
This timber has a lovely warm brown tone ( similar to coco powered in our opinion) that fades to a natural silver tone in around 6-12 months. It is soft so we recommend this for domestic cladding and fencing battens. Not intended for in ground use.
The very clean faces will appeal to those looking for a virtually knot free timber. Stainless steel fixings must be used. A softer timber so may not be suitable for some commercial applications.
Milled To Order
Idigbo Cladding
Heartwood is pale yellowish brown, sometimes with paler stripes due to lack of pores in latewood, and/or irregular dark brown stripes. Pale sapwood isn’t clearly demarcated from heartwood. Quartersawn sections with interlocked grain may display a modest ribbon stripe pattern.
Grain tends to be straight or slightly interlocked. With a coarse, uniform texture with moderate natural luster.
Works well with both hand and machine tools, though surfacing quartersawn pieces with interlocked grain may cause tearout. Yellow water-based heartwood extractives may cause staining, and the wood may become discolored when in contact with iron. Turns, glues, and finishes well, though steam-bending is poor.
Ideal for cladding, joinery and gate building.
