Planed Western Red Cedar is a durable option for outdoor building projects because of its natural resistance to rot, decay, and insects. Since this limber is a unique mixture of reds, dark browns, and light tans, it ages beautifully, often greying into a silver-ish hue after prolonged exposure of around 12-18 months to sunlight. We recommend Armourflex to slow down this process. Very popular for contemporary fencing projects and cladding projects.
Stainless steel fixings should be used.
Straight grain with a coarse texture and moderate natural lustre.
Grading 85% will be grade 2 or better with 15% being grade 4 (some natural knots present)
