All items UC4 (ground contact treatment) unless marked - UC3 *(above ground use)
When shopping around for the best price you may see the words ‘pressure treated or Tanalith E’. This does not mean your timber has been treated for ground contact. Make sure you ask your supplier if it is UC4 (User Class 4) if you intend for your timber to be in contact with the ground or buried in the ground. At Egerton’s Timber we clearly mark all our items with its user class so you can make an informed decision, many merchants do not.

Timber is a natural product, wane, splits, knots and movement are not considered defects. Some of these characteristics can be more obvious during spells of hot weather.
