When its time to ensure your decking safe and secure then make fitting a balustrade easy with individual components. You can build the balustrade to suit your decking design. For raised decking, consider safety and appearance. Balustrade heights:
Decks under 600 mm: 900 mm.
Decks over 600 mm: 1100 mm. Measurements are from the deck surface to the top of the handrail.
Stairs and landings: usually 900 mm.
Maximum gap between spindles: 100 mm (the "baby’s head" rule). In practice use slightly less (e.g. 80–99 mm) so a 100 mm sphere cannot pass through.
Decking Newel Post- Pressure Treated
Our softwood newel post are pressure treated to Uc3 for a longer life. Milled from joinery grade redwood timber
Newel Posts are 82mm square sections and include the base.
